This Hanji Lanturn represents a delivery drone, a symbol of the future of logistics and urban life. A drone refers to an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) operated remotely via radio signals, without a human pilot onboard. The name “drone” was inspired by the buzzing sound similar to that of a bee.
Countries such as China, New Zealand, and the United States are actively developing and commercializing delivery drones. In fact, in August, Domino’s Pizza partnered with drone manufacturer Flirtey to announce plans for drone-based pizza delivery in New Zealand. It seems we are entering an era where airborne delivery warfare will soon become a part of everyday life.
