“The Royal Procession,” a traditional Hanji lantern display that even captivated the Prime Minister of Singapore, is now featured once again at the 2020 Lanterns of Hope Festival. Previously exhibited during Singapore’s Mid-Autumn Festival, where it gained widespread attention, the lantern is currently on display near the Seoullo 7017 Travel Terminal.
Today, Mr. Lee Jaesung, CEO of the Seoul Tourism Organization, and Singaporean Ambassador Eric Teo visited the exhibition together. They toured the lanterns, took photos, and showed great interest in the art of Hanji lanterns.
Ambassador Teo even insisted on stepping aside to let others stand in the center during group photos—such a thoughtful gesture that left a lasting impression.
We sincerely hope that The Royal Procession will have the opportunity to be exhibited in Singapore once again in the near future.
